Bean Team: Race Across America 2018

How can drinking coffee and cycling help our nation’s military families?

IN PURSUIT OF THE RAAM 2-MAN RECORD: 3,000 miles. Coast-to-coast. In under 7 days.
It’s the world’s toughest bike race—and a fitting stage to honor some of our nation’s finest men and women. The Bean Team has chosen to take on this formidable challenge to raise money and awareness for Operation Homefront; an organization dedicated to helping military families on a number of levels. The race is a 3,000-mile trek from Oceanside, CA to Annapolis, MD and arguably one of the toughest tests of endurance a cyclist can sign on for.

Support Bean Team Race Across America 2018

We’ve challenged ourselves. Now we’re challenging you.
The Bean Team needs the support of individual, business and corporate sponsorships to fulfill our pledge to our nations military families. Outlined here are the ways you can help.

Two men, one great cause, and a record to break.
Last year’s Bean Team shocked everyone by finishing fourth in the under 50, four man team bracket—not bad for an ex-Army medic, a Realtor, a golf pro and a college student who had never raced together.
But this year, The Bean Team is a 2-man team riding to support Operation Homefront and make history. Returning racer and former Army medic, Aubrey Aldy, and his teammate/trainer, Peter Kotland, are eyeing the race’s 2-man record. An ambitious feat? Yes…but you don’t know Aubrey and Peter…yet.

About Bike Bistro

Bike Bistro: A true destination for cyclists. A homage to tradition.
For cyclists in Fort Myers, FL and nearby Sanibel Island, the Bike Bistro has a “vibe” that resonates with bicycle riders of all types. It was designed to honor the European tradition of combining cycling and a warm, coffee-shop atmosphere, giving cycling enthusiasts a destination to relax, and enjoy conversation about the sport they love.

In similar fashion, the shop has assembled the Bean Team to ride in the grueling Race Across America, to honor our country’s wounded warriors and the proud tradition of service they committed to. We hope you share our passion for this mission, and look forward to your support.
